Chipply & ShipStation API KEY UPDATES

If you're using the integration between Chipply and ShipStation, please be aware that ShipStation has recently enhanced its security measures by adding expiration dates to API keys, which are a crucial part of the integration with Chipply.

Starting April 10th, ShipStation will require you to replace your expired API keys with new ones. As part of this update, you will need to choose an expiration period of 3, 6, or 12 months. At the end of the selected period, you’ll be required to rotate your API keys again.

To stay ahead and avoid any disruptions, you can proactively update your API keys before April 10th.

How To Recover Your Chipply & ShipStation Integration

1) Login into your ShipStation account and click on the settings gear on the top right-hand side. 

2) Click on Account.

3) Click on API Settings.

4) Under "Select your API Version," choose V1 API, then click the trash can icon next to the API Key labeled "Expiring Soon." In the confirmation popup, click Delete Key to remove it.

5) ShipStation will send you a verification email, enabling you to generate your new API Key. During the setup process, you'll need to select an expiration period of 3, 6, or 12 months. Once your new API Key is generated, you can easily copy both your API Key and Secret Key to seamlessly integrate them with Chipply.

6) From here you can login into Chipply, and click on Settings Gear (on the top right-hand side of your screen)-> Dealer Settings. Then click on System Integration on the left-hand menu.

7) You can click on ShipStation under Integrated Systems. Under credentials, paste in your new API Key & Secret Key and then click Save.
