Best Practices for Chipply Store Setup
To ensure data transfers cleanly to ShopWorks, follow these tips when setting up your Chipply store:
-
Design ID in ShopWorks = Type Code in Chipply
-
When creating artwork in Chipply, use a Design ID that already exists in ShopWorks.
-
If not available, the type code can be filled in later.
-
-
Each Process = a Separate Job
-
Each decoration process (e.g., embroidery, screen print) in Chipply creates its own job in ShopWorks.
-
Products are grouped by how they are decorated.
-
Sending Orders to ShopWorks
-
In Chipply, go to your store and navigate to:
Work Orders > Export to ShopWorks -
In ShopWorks, go to:
Orders API Home > Order API Import -
Select your Chipply API integration.
-
Click the blue arrow to the right, then click Begin Import.
Optional: Merge API Orders (New Feature)
If your Chipply store uses multiple processes and you'd prefer one grouped order in ShopWorks:
-
Go to Merge API Orders in ShopWorks.
-
Toggle each job to Yes for merging.
-
Select a Primary Order.
-
ShopWorks will create a new API order that contains all merged jobs under a single order ID.
Final Tip
To keep things consistent, update your Sales Order setting in Chipply to match the Sales ID used in ShopWorks.
