Fulfill Engine: Things to Know Before Launching a Store

Use this checklist before you launch a store that uses Fulfill Engine artwork. Checking these items ahead of time helps your purchase orders go through smoothly and avoids delays on the Fulfill Engine side.

For full setup steps, see How to Set up the Fulfill Engine Integration.

1. Integration Setup

  • Your Fulfill Engine API Key 1 and Account ID are entered under Settings > Dealer Settings > Integrations.
  • A default Shipping Carrier and Shipping Method are selected on the integration.
  • Fulfill Engine appears on the Vendors tab under Dealer Settings > Decorations.

2. Products

  • Every product you plan to offer with Fulfill Engine artwork is one Fulfill Engine carries. View the Fulfill Engine product list.
  • If you're using Design IDs: the product and design are set up in your Fulfill Engine account first, before you offer the product on your Chipply store. If you're sending production files instead, you don't need to create anything in Fulfill Engine ahead of time (see section 4).

3. Artwork

  • The Decoration Vendor on each artwork is set to Fulfill Engine. If you also use the Stahls' integration, double-check this. Artwork left on Stahls' will send the order to Stahls' with no error shown.
  • Each artwork uses a supported Fulfill Engine Decoration Type:
    • DTF, DTG, Embroidery, UV DTF, UV Print, Liquid 3D, Laser Engraving, Dye Sublimation
  • No artwork is still set to a type that is no longer offered for Fulfill Engine (Hangtag, Heat Seal Patch, Screen Printing, Sticker, or Transfer Label). The artwork editor flags these so you can pick a new type.

4. Design ID or Production File

Each artwork is sent to Fulfill Engine one of two ways. Make sure every artwork is set up for one of them.

  • Using a Design ID: every artwork variation has its Fulfill Engine Design ID entered (for example, D-12345677).
  • Embroidery artwork has a Design ID. Embroidery cannot be sent with a production file.
  • Using a production file (DTF, DTG, UV DTF, UV Print, Liquid 3D, Laser Engraving, or Dye Sublimation):
    • Both Decoration Type and Location Details are filled in. The purchase order will not submit if either is missing.
    • A production file is uploaded, and the correct file is marked as Primary if the variation has more than one.

5. Screen Print Designs

  • If you send a screen print design by Design ID, plan for a minimum of 24 pieces on a single PO, all with the same Design ID and all shipping to the same location. Chipply will not show an error if the minimum isn't met, but Fulfill Engine will put the order on hold and contact you.

6. Shipping

  • Your store's distribution settings (in General Settings) match how you want Fulfill Engine to ship:
    • Shipping to shoppers: you can ship directly to the customer or to your dealer branch.
    • Pickup options only: orders ship to your dealer branch.
    • Both shipping and pickup: you choose at the time of purchase.

7. Ready to Purchase

  • You have the details needed for the purchase order: PO Number, Attention Name, Ship Email, Phone Number, and Shipping Carrier and Method.
