Have you ever wanted to let your customers choose a free item from your store? With our latest Group Products update, you can now easily allow them to select one free item from a curated group of products.
How to Offer One Free Item:
1) Duplicate Your Products (Optional but Recommended):
In your store dashboard, click on Products in the left-hand menu. Before setting up your free item group, we recommend duplicating the products you plan to include. This ensures that customers can still purchase these items outside of the free product group.
2) Create a Product Group:
Select the products you want to include in the free item offer. Then scroll to the bottom of the screen, click Bulk Actions, choose Group, and select Add to New to create a new product group.
3) Customize the Group Settings:
- Update the Group Name (e.g., Choose One Free Item)
- Set the Max Quantity to 1 (to allow one free item per customer)
- Choose a display image or upload a custom one
- Once finished, click ACCEPT to save the group.
4) Adjust Pricing for Free Offer:
Make sure the product pricing is set correctly for post-store-close reporting. Then, select all products in the new group, click Pricing → Set Fundraising, and set the fundraising percentage to -100%. This will apply a full discount, making whichever item the customer chooses in the group free.
Your free item group is now ready! Customers will be able to select one free item from the group during checkout.
