Why Can't I Delete a Product?
If Chipply won't let you delete a product, it's because that product has touched a cart or an order at some point, even if the store shows zero orders.
Just adding a product to a cart is enough to lock it, whether or not anyone ever checked out. So an abandoned cart, a test order, or a cancelled order can all be the reason, not just current, active orders.
How to Deactivate a Product
Deactivating removes the product from the storefront without touching your order history, so it's what to use instead of deleting.
- Go to your store's Products page and use the search filters to find the product you want to deactivate.
- In the Active column, click the toggle to switch it off.
Shoppers no longer see it, but nothing else on the store is affected. You can reactivate it later, or add a fresh version as a new product if needed.
