How to Mark an Order as Shipped or Complete

When an order has shipped or been picked up, update its status so your team and your customers know where things stand. You can update whole orders, specific items, or a whole store at once.

How to Find an Order

  1. In your store, go to Order Manager.
  2. Use the search and filters to find the order by the customer's first or last name, email address, phone number, or order number.

How to Change the Status of an Order

  1. In your store, go to Order Manager.
  2. Check the box next to the order you want to update. You can select more than one.
  3. Click Bulk Actions, then Update Status.
  4. Choose the new status: Complete, Partial, or Pending.
Tip: If you mark the wrong order as complete, follow the same steps to change it back to Pending.

How to Mark Individual Items as Shipped

Use this when only part of an order has shipped, or a customer has items with different statuses.

  1. In Order Manager, open Order Manager Items.
  2. Select the item(s) you want to update.
  3. Click Bulk Actions, then Update Status.
  4. Choose the new status: Backordered, New, Received/Pulled, or Shipped/Picked Up.

To update just one customer's items, click the Customer Orders button on the item, select the customer's order, and change the status in the order details.

How to Mark a Whole Store as Complete

  1. In your closed store, go to the General Settings page.
  2. Use the Store Status dropdown at the top to choose Complete.

This is also where you move a store from Closed to Production or Sorting. When a store is set to Complete, all of its items are marked Shipped/Picked Up automatically, except items marked Backordered.
